LONDON, TRANSATLANTIC CRUISE, NEW YORK 2008
We had a great get-away this spring on the high seas onboard Queen Mary 2 (QM2). We started out by visiting London for a couple of days and we walked the city, sampled pub fare, and enjoyed traditional afternoon tea.
Our hotel was centrally located so we could walk to all of the attractions that we wanted to see. We managed to find time to shop at Harrods and a few other shops during our walks. The weather was great while we were there so we got to view the city from the Eye. We saw many historical sites throughout the city and spent a few relaxing hours strolling in Hyde Park. We saw the musical “We Will Rock You” which was great. At the end of the show one of the original members of Queen came out on stage and entertained us with a tremendous guitar solo. Where else but in London would this happen?
